Heesu JANG

Policy Analyst, Social Economy and Innovation, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)

An American-educated, Chinese-raised Korean national, Heesu Jang is a Policy Analyst for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)’s Social Economy and Innovation Unit. 

Based in Paris, France, his work focuses on social innovation, business support for social entrepreneurship, and the Asia-Pacific region. 

Prior to the OECD, he has worked for Octopus Energy, the Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS), Bloomberg, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). 

Most recently, he has consulted for the Obama Foundation, T&C Foundation, Beautiful Foundation, and Torque Pharmaceuticals. 

He is also a published author on the history and culture of philanthropy in Asia. 

Heesu holds a Master of Science in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
