Maxime CHENG

Maxime Cheng is the Lead of Insights & Innovations at Roots of Impact. 

Previously, as the Lead of Impact Intelligence & Education, Maxime designed and implemented multiple educational programs that have supported over 300 impact enterprises globally to prepare for Impact-Linked Finance (ILF). 

She is also the program director of Biniyog Briddhi, a nation-wide impact investing ecosystem building program funded by the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh, closing 16 ILF transactions and advised the NAB on the Bangladesh Impact Investing Strategy and Action Plan.

In her current role, Maxime leverages her extensive market experience to develop tools that enable more players to join the Impact-Linked Finance market, thus advancing the practice. 

Maxime has served on several investment committees and technical assistance advisory boards. She holds a master’s degree in Public Policy from the Hertie School, where she specialized in impact measurement and evaluation.
