Peter YANG

A long-time volunteer and commercial consultant who transitioned into social entrepreneurship. In 2011, I founded Empact in Singapore, a social enterprise dedicated to strengthening the social sector. 

At Empact, we provide strategy, impact measurement, tech solutions, and finance and HR shared services to NPOs and SEs, along with people and volunteer management. We've supported over 2,500 organizations across Asia and empowered more than 1,000 youth leaders to address community challenges with innovative ideas. 

We’ve also partnered with foundations and governments on pioneering funding models, including Asia’s first shared gifting initiative, pay-for-success projects, collective impact efforts, and participatory grant-making. Additionally, we’ve worked with the Singapore government to define sector standards such as disability services, caregiver support, skills-based volunteering, and volunteer impact measurement. Empact has been honored as an SE Champion by the prestigious Social Enterprise Award from the Singapore President. I’m excited to share our insights with Hong Kong and mainland China.

Outside work, I volunteer as an organic farmer. I’m passionate about discovering “thy self” and helping youth leaders to discover their true selves, manage their emotions, and increase their conscious level.
